Our client is seeking a hybrid, part time HR Manager to oversee day-to-day HR functions, support our 40+ employees, and ensure a positive, productive work environment. Our client, headquartered in Bethesda, MD, with an office in Michigan, is a consulting firm that offers asset management, compliance, and comprehensive consulting services to the affordable housing industry across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company goals
  • Manage recruitment efforts, including posting jobs, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating background checks
  • Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration
  • Lead performance evaluations and provide feedback to supervisors
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure compliance with labor laws
  • Collaborate with management on compensation and employee relations initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; HR certifications (SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience at a Sr. HR Generalist or supervisory level, with a broad understanding of HR disciplines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage relationships at all levels
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with HR software, timekeeping systems, and applicant tracking tools
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Work Hours:

This is a part-time position (15-20 hours per week), with flexible scheduling determined in consultation with management. Occasional additional hours may be needed.

Compensation:

$45 - $55 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

The hourly range for this position is provided. The final salary offered within this range will be based on factors such as the candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, as well as market and business considerations.
