What you will do:
Lead all aspects of our HR department, including hiring and onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. Our ideal candidate is a self-directed, results-driven professional with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to fostering a positive culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition:
Develops strategies to effectively recruit and hire for talent needed to support business objectives.
Maintains social media presence to assist in recruitment efforts.
Partners with local colleges, universities and recruiting firms to access additional pipelines of candidates.
Compliance:
Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
Leads all compliance reporting requirements such as non-discrimination testing, OSHA 300, EEO-1, 5500 reporting, etc.
Drives a culture of safety.
Employee Relations:
Advises/coaches managers regarding employee relations matters.
Conducts investigations and follow up actions to ensure fairness and integrity in sensitive situations.
Conducts employee surveys to gauge engagement and opportunities to improve the work environment.
Champions employee engagement and retention strategies.
Performance Management:
Develops and manages a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
Creates and maintains job descriptions to meet needs of organization.
Coaches managers on effective employee development strategies to drive performance.
Compensation & Benefits:
Assesses compensation and benefit trends and present recommendations to executive leadership for enhanced employee offerings.
Manages annual merit increase cycle.
Manages relationships with benefit providers to ensure programs meet needs of organization.
Two year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
7+ years of progressive HR experience with 3+ years in a supervisory role.
Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Previous payroll processing responsibilities.
Proficiency with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) as a systems administrator and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
HR Certification (SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR).
Paylocity experience.
Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
