Duties/Responsibilities:
For Steel & O’Brien FBP Sites Outside of Arcade:
- Provides general HR support for smaller locations including employee relations, training, engagement activities, and the field HR recruiting responsibilities.
- Consults with HR Director for discipline, terminations, complaints and other sensitive situations.
For Arcade DCC, Arcade FBP and all other Steel & O’Brien FBP Sites:
- Builds positive professional relationships and fosters an inclusive environment, conducive to employee engagement and growth.
- Processes and maintains HR documentation and records as required.
- Resolves employee and supervisor time and attendance questions, reviewing time cards and resolving issues prior to payroll deadlines, tracking exceptions such as boot reimbursements, and distributing checks.
- Serves as a payroll processing backup.
- Monitors attendance, identifies excessive absence, and consults with management and HR Generalists on attendance warnings.
- Responsible for hiring candidates from the hiring module into the HRIS, configuring badges, coordinating the new hire checklist, submitting IT tickets, ensuring completion of new hire reviews, and related tasks.
- Supports offboarding via coordinating the offboarding checklist, collecting badges, fobs, computers and other company equipment, terminating in the HRIS, submitting IT tickets and related tasks.
- Administers employee benefits including processing invoices, running reports, and assisting employees with their benefit-related needs.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, procedures, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
- Prepares routine reports for use by HR and Operations.
- Assists with or coordinates projects and events, such as HR events, benefits open enrollment, performance management events, employee communications, company-wide meetings, etc.
- Coordinates and/or supports employee engagement activities.
- Assists with training programs and may conduct instructional and informational activities.
- Prepares and edits professional documents and correspondence for the organization.
- Protects employee confidentiality and complies with applicable federal, state, local, and company regulations and policies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
For Arcade DCC and Arcade FBP — Onsite Talent Acquisition Support:
- Serves as the primary onsite field HR contact to welcome, escort, and manage the experience of candidates for onsite interviews.
- Receives walk-in applicants and resume drop-offs at the Arcade site; captures walk-in applicant intake information and routes to the centralized Talent Acquisition team for screening and disposition.
- Responds to walk-in and call-in inquiries on application status; escalates active-requisition questions to the centralized Talent Acquisition team.
- Represents Steel & O’Brien at local career fairs; coordinates collateral and logistics with the centralized Talent Acquisition team and Marketing.
- Facilitates onsite Predictive Index completion for candidates without email or computer access.
- Hosts staffing agency representatives during onsite visits to Arcade.
Full-Cycle Recruiting (As Assigned Based on Business Need):
- Owns full-cycle recruiting for a modest portfolio of requisitions assigned by the HR Director in partnership with the centralized Talent Acquisition team, based on site and business need.
- Partners with hiring managers on intake, sourcing strategy, screening, interview coordination, and offer through close for assigned requisitions.
- Manages candidate activity and pipeline data in the ATS to ensure accuracy and timely disposition for assigned requisitions.
- Maintains a concurrent requisition load consistent with HR team capacity standards, with assignment and prioritization set by the HR Director.
- Aligns with the centralized Talent Acquisition team on agency engagement, vendor portals, and posting standards for assigned requisitions.

Qualifications:
- Associate degree in HR, business or a related field, or equivalent experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Two or more years of HR-related experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
- HR certification such as aPHR, PHR, or SHRM-CP is a plus
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn relevant labor laws, safety standards and HR best practices
- Able to perform the physical demands of the job, including:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to safely navigate a manufacturing environment.

Attendance Requirements: Attendance on a regular, consistent basis is mandatory.
Salary Range: $60K-$64K plus 5% quarterly bonus
