The HR Benefits Specialist is responsible for resolving complex or escalated benefit-related cases received by HR4U, Erlanger's HR Support Center. Collaborates with HR Generalist, Benefits Center of Excellence (COE), and other internal stakeholders to resolve employee concerns in a timely manner.
Education:
Required\: Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.

Experience:
Required\: Three years of benefits administration experience.
Preferred:
-Previous experience in\: Health, dental, vision plans, and enrollment processes (new hire, annual, qualifying events).
-Previous experience in a shared services or HR call center environment.
-Experience in a healthcare setting.
-Experience with HRIS systems and vendor/enrollment platforms
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Excellent customer service skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
-Ability to research, interpret, and resolve complex benefits issues.
-Ability to explain benefit concepts in simple, clear terms.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems.
-High attention to detail, organization, including the ability to manage multiple priorities.
-Ability to work effectively and act with integrity, professionalism, and empathy in a high stress, deadline-driven situation (especially during enrollment periods).
-Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to navigate complex situations.
-Ability to assess situations and determine when appropriate escalation to Benefits COE vs. internal resolution.
-Training and mentoring capabilities for supporting HR Generalists on benefits inquiries for future resolution.
