Responsibilities
Assist employees with the timely election of benefits.
Ensures the accuracy of all benefit enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
Manages and communicates, Praxis benefit plans expert to include administration, bills, systems, feeds
Coordinates Open Enrollment events (Praxis, Columbus, Unette)
Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
Administers and manages leave of absence program (FMLA, LOA, ADA, STD & LTD)
Processes ADA work restrictions and requests, updates Sugar and assigns badges if needed
Conducts 401k audit to ensure accuracy
Serves as Employee contact for 401k Hardship Requests and Loans. Provides necessary information to Plan Sponsor.
Completes ACA, EEOC and other compliance reports
Processes FOC Medical Support Notices
Processes new hire paperwork in the payroll system as needed.
Processes all employees PA forms, offer letters and terminations
Assists with the hands-on administration of HR related systems including but not limited to ADP.
Tracks attendance points according to Company policy. Notify and follow-up with the appropriate supervisor daily. Ensure employee warnings are written and discussed with the employee in a timely manner.
Respond to basic inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. Direct employees to the Human Resources Manager when approached about all other requests.
Assist with project management and implementation as it relates to Human Resources and other areas as needed.
Act as back up for HR Assistant as needed.
Attend and participate in any classes, groups, or committees, as instructed.
All other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or related program, required or equivalent combination
2-4 years Human Resources experience required
Understanding of Benefits, LOA, ADA, FMLA, STD & LTD preferred
HR certification preferred
Bilingual preferred
Experience in managing various levels of employees with different educational backgrounds, work style habits, and employment histories.
Able to follow legal requirements, maintain acceptable level of confidentiality, and follow established Company human resources practices to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Ability to organize priorities and workload to complete them under time constraints
