A Day in the Life of:

As a member of our team, the HR Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Human Resources Department with various administrative and operational tasks as needed and ensures the delivery of exceptional customer service to staff as the front-facing representative of the department.Your people skills will come in handy and will help you to maintain fantastic professional relationships with your fellow team members and those that we serve.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assisting staff with HR related matters and inquiries and work to exceed their expectations by providing exceptional customer service.
  • Effectively utilizing HRIS to enter, process, verify, and approve all employee information.
  • Supporting the new hire onboarding and orientation.
  • Ensuring employee records, files, and HR office systems met compliance standards.
  • Submitting, tracking, managing, and processing Personnel Action Forms (PAF).
  • Conducting biweekly payroll audits.
  • Processing unemployment claims paperwork and represent SOAR365 in VEC hearings.
  • Supporting and assisting with the coordination of employee engagement and recognition programs, human resources events, and projects.
  • Supporting and assisting with human resources events and projects, as needed.
  • Providing front desk coverage, as needed.
  • Ordering office supplies for Saunders location

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Human Resources, Payroll, and/or work in a related field to HR/Business.
  • A bachelor's degree in human resources or business required.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems
  • Effective public speaking and presentation skills required.
  • Maintains active Notary Public designation.
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
