The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team, senior leadership, and departments across the organization. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees, visitors, vendors, and customers while ensuring efficient office operations and a polished, professional workplace environment.
The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, professionalism in all interactions, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Success in this role requires initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastâpaced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Human Resources Support
- Prepare and process new hire documentation and onboarding materials.
- Coordinate onboarding activities, including scheduling appointments with IT and Marketing and assembling/distributing new hire items (apparel, safety equipment, company-branded materials).
- Support internal communication efforts related to benefits, policies, and employee events.
- Assist with planning and participating in employee engagement activities and company events.
- Coordinate temporary staffing needs with external agencies.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and use discretion when handling employee and company information.
Office & Administrative Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for guests, vendors, and customers, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience.
- Create and manage calendar invitations for meetings and customer visits.
- Coordinate conference room scheduling, setup, catering, and meeting logistics.
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional office common areas, including the lobby and conference rooms.
- Manage inventory and ordering of general office supplies.
- Receive and distribute daily mail and incoming materials.
- Clean, stock, and distribute safety glasses and related supplies.
- Create, review, and post content to the company intranet to support timely and accurate internal communication.
- Assist with special projects and crossâfunctional initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Experience as an Administrative Assistant, Human Resources Assistant, or similar administrative role required.
- Recent college graduates and those currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Working knowledge of office procedures and administrative best practices.
- Demonstrated experience handling confidential information with discretion.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
- Experience with UKG or similar HRIS preferred.
- Knowledge of Iâ9 compliance and personnel recordkeeping requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce professional business correspondence.
- Strong problemâsolving and analytical skills with sound judgment.

- Sufficient mobility and dexterity to lift, reach, carry, push, and pull office and HRârelated materials.
- Ability to read detailed documents and spreadsheets and communicate information clearly in person and electronically.
Work Environment
- Approximately 90% of duties performed in an office setting.
- Approximately 10% performed on the assembly floor, with possible exposure to tools, dust, chemicals, fluctuating temperatures, noise, and production odors.
Tools & Equipment
Standard office equipment including computers, printers, phones, copiers, and related software.

Pay Range:
- Starting pay is $21.00 - $28.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
