Position Overview

The Human Resources Assistant is an integral role supporting the department and contributes to the overall success of the team by providing a high level of customer service and administrative support. The Human Resources Assistant assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties; and is responsible for file maintenance both electronic and physical as well as involvement with employee engagement projects

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all records maintenance and filing of all employee payroll and human resources documents both physical and electronic
  • Assist with onboarding new employees (parking forms, badge creation, etc.)
  • Assist with employee internal transfers and promotions (letter generation, routing, and payroll correspondence)
  • Responsible for coding and assigning all HR related invoices
  • Available to answer and address general employee inquiries
  • Support the HR team with special projects and audits
  • Assists with employee terminations by preparing and collecting paperwork, partnering with various supporting teams to ensure smooth execution of off-boarding procedures
  • HR related projects as assigned in areas of administration, compliance, operations, and employee experience

Key Qualifications

  • High school diploma; Associates degree preferred
  • 1-2years’ experience in an HR administrative role
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team in a fast-paced environment with varied projects
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems while exhibiting sound judgment
  • Comfortable with change & ability to adapt quickly
  • Polished and professional presentation and communication style; capable of communicating content in a succinct manner in-person, over the phone, and through written correspondence
  • Experience with Outlook, Word, and Excel required
  • Excellent desk/computer/workflow organizational skills

Special Work Conditions    

  • Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. The compensation range for this position is: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour.
