Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly organized and service-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support our HR team with administrative and operational tasks. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate records, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Assists with recruiting activities, including scheduling interviews and posting job openings.
  • Assists with onboarding activities, including new hire orientation and completion of employment documentation and screenings.
  • Assists with scheduling meetings, training sessions, and other appointments.
  • Assists with Learning Management System, including employee records and administrative tasks.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately and ensure compliance with pertinent laws and regulations.
  • Provides administrative support to the HR department.
  • Receive visitors, determine visitor's nature of business, issue visitor badges, and maintain an accurate visitor log.
  • Operate the telephone switchboard, accurately receive and forward incoming calls, and make necessary pages.
  • Provide information of a general nature to callers, visitors, and employees.
  • Accurately sort and deliver incoming mail.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of office supplies, make necessary purchases, place purchase requisitions as requested by Department Managers.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required, associate or bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in HR or administrative support is preferred.
  • Position requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and organizational skill.
  • Requires a perceptive person who can relate to individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Requires the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and care.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite and Adobe. Ability to become proficient with online record keeping systems.
