Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Human Resources experience preferred
Healthcare experience preferred
Working knowledge of Federal and State wage and hour laws preferred
PeopleSoft and Taleo experience preferred
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHR certification a plus.

Position Summary
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Medical Center. Under the direction of the Manager of Human Resources, the Human Resources Assistant serves as a support partner to hospital employees, former employees, and prospective candidates. This role is the first point of contact for all visitors to the Human Resources department, greeting guests with professionalism, answering incoming calls, and directing inquiries promptly and courteously. The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for maintaining organized and accurate department operations, including managing the filing system, employee health triage, processing and sorting incoming mail, and ensuring documents and records are updated in a timely manner. The Human Resources Assistant must uphold the highest level of confidentiality at all times while providing responsive, service focused assistance.
