Tower is offering a $1000 Signing/Retaining bonus as of 1/20/2024.  

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Hiring Range- $22.24/hr - $27.80/hr

 

Summary of Position

This position is responsible for delivering administrative and project support for Employment Services and Compensation & Benefits departments in the Human Resources Department.  The incumbent will work as a back-up for administrative and project work on both teams.   

Employee Services

This position will provide strong administrative support for talent acquisition and hiring, to include assisting with drug screen appointments/tracking as well as new employee orientation functions.  Additional duties include assisting with service awards, TowerNet updates, internal audits, and other administrative duties.  

Compensation & Benefits   

In this area, the incumbent will assist with payroll and benefits functions to include, completing I9 verifications through E-Verify (new hires), assisting with benefits processing and payroll support.  Additional duties include assisting with employee recognition documentation, Tower’s wellness program and internal audits.

Principal Accountabilities and Functions

Responsible for providing strong administrative support for hiring, which includes all functions of New Employee Onboarding

Assist with Service Awards administration, scheduling and assisting with Next Steps classes

Partners with the HR Generalists to help with scheduling and completing fingerprinting as well as drug screening scheduling/tracking

Responsible for running credit checks to ensure hiring compliance

Assist with HR audits, and turnover tracking

Responsible for manual and electronic file maintenance for all employee file functions/tasks.

Assist with legal posting requirements compliance

Will assist with administrative functions for New Employee Orientation

Will serve as a backup for NEO administration in the absence of the HR Generalist

Responsible for inputting new hire information into Info Mart system for background screenings verifications and follow-up, as necessary with vendor and/or candidate

Updating the HR presence on Towernet to include the Employee Handbook and page updates

Complete I9 verifications through E-Verify

Scan employee files and assist with education document filing

Assist with Living Well Living Wisely wellness program

Assist with bi-weekly payroll audits and monthly GL reconciliations

Prepare Tower Tributes certificates

Assist with salary/job changes in UKG and prepare employee communications

Assist with verifications of employment and Unemployment inquiries (terminations)

Assist with benefits and annual/ongoing audits 401(k), pension, payroll

Assist with monthly GL reconciliations, and reoccurring reports to vendors.

Assist with departmental projects

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Three to five years of successful administrative work experience in a legal setting or HR would be a plus 

Previous access to and experience maintaining highly confidential information

Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, the internet, and other web-based applications.

Experience with data entry in multiple systems.

Experience with an HRIS preferred.

Working Conditions

Ability to work the hours needed, which may extend beyond the defined work schedule when operating conditions dictate.

Ability to lift up to 20 lbs., with or without assistance, in compliance with ADA.

Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods involving episodes of repetitive motion
