This is a full-time, on-site position. Daily presence at our Lexington office is a key part of our collaborative culture, so please consider commute distance when applying.

 

What You’ll Do

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Assistant to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work independently under general supervision, solving moderately complex personnel issues and using sound judgment when handling payroll inquiries. You'll be a key contributor to HR operations and employee engagement—balancing administrative precision with a human-centered approach.

You will - 

  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases 
  • Assist in recruitment efforts—posting jobs, coordinating interviews, and managing communications 
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes with care and attention 
  • Respond to employee questions about benefits, policies, and procedures 
  • Coordinate company events, training sessions, and engagement initiatives 
  • Handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion 
  • Resolve moderately complex personnel issues independently 
  • Address payroll-related problems appropriately, referring complex matters to authorized personnel 
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team 

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking candidates who bring both expertise and heart to the table. Ideal qualifications include:

  • At least three years of experience in HR or administrative support roles 
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision 
  • Skilled in resolving moderately complex personnel issues 
  • Capable of managing payroll-related inquiries with appropriate judgment 
  • High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in HR or Business Administration is a plus 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; HRIS systems experience is a plus 
  • Demonstrated discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive information
