Job: Human Resources Assistant - Intern (full-time)

Position Summary
The HR Assistant – Intern will work under the direct supervision and mentorship of professional staff within the human resources department, undertaking a variety of activities and projects of varying levels of professional complexity and assisting with the completion of important projects that will be assigned.
Essential Functions
-First point-of-contact for greeting in-person guests as well as incoming phone calls to the HR department.
-Assists with various aspects of the hiring process such as candidate inquiries.
-Assists the HR team in uploading/entering employee and candidate documents into the human capital management system (HCMS)
-Maintains electronic and hard files for current and terminated employees.
-Assists the HR team in reviewing and editing employee job descriptions.
-Assists the HR team in evaluating and reviewing I-9 compliance.
-Assists the HR team with validating dependent eligibility for benefits plans.
-Assists with preparing various HR-related reports
-Assists with annual service awards and other employee recognition activities.
-Performs duties with a strong sense of urgency, initiative, and ownership.
-Reports to and departs from work on time and as scheduled.
-Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
-Performs other duties as may be assigned.
-Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Work Experience
-Human Resources, Customer Service, or Administration experience preferred.
Education
-High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace, applicant tracking systems, human capital management systems, learning management systems and other applications/systems as needed.
Skills
-Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing, is preferred.
