Eat. Sleep. Help People Succeed. Repeat: As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will align business objectives with employees and management in your assigned teams. This partnership allows for coaching, mentoring, and recruiting, while also performing other HR duties such as training and development and leaves of absence. This position requires previous HR experience, and will work from our Kalamazoo Headquarters Monday-Friday.

A Day in the Life

  • Arrive at the office organized and ready to help us be the best HR team in town
  • Conduct regular meetings with managers of assigned teams and assist those teams with HR guidance
  • Manage all leaves of absence and communicate updates regularly
  • Recruit for all open positions in your assigned teams
  • Create and manage employee engagement and ongoing development initiatives
  • Assist in onboarding new hires
  • Create HR reports
  • Maintain employee and HR files
  • Maintain accurate job descriptions

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree (or equivalent education and experience) in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • 2+ years' experience in Human Resources preferred
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines
  • Knowledge of current HR and employment laws and practices
  • Must possess superior communication and customer service skills, confidentiality and professionalism
  • Must have a reliable personal cell phone with the ability to receive calls and text messages and with a cell phone number available internally
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to coordinate processes and work well with various departments
  • Ability to create positive relationships
