HR Works has teamed up with a manufacturer in Rochester, NY seeking a strategic and hands-on Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team in a dynamic, high-growth environment where HR is highly visible and deeply valued. This role is ideal for a proactive, data-driven HR professional who thrives in fast-paced settings and enjoys partnering closely with leadership to drive business results through people strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic HR Partnership: Align workforce strategies with business goals, acting as a trusted advisor to site leadership.
  • HRIS & Process Ownership: Manage HR systems and site-level processes with precision and accountability.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management: Lead exit interviews, analyze retention trends, and implement strategies to improve employee experience.
  • Workforce Planning: Forecast labor needs and support staffing strategies across all shifts.
  • Talent Development: Facilitate succession planning and career development for high-potential employees.
  • Performance Management: Lead goal-setting, coaching, evaluations, and performance calibration with autonomy.
  • Employee Engagement: Design communication strategies to enhance understanding of HR policies and cultural initiatives.
  • Employee Relations: Provide mature, calm guidance in sensitive situations; de-escalate issues and coach leaders through resolution.
  • Training & Development: Deliver HR-led training on compliance, leadership, interviewing, and skills development.
  • Change Management: Act as a change agent during organizational transformation, navigating ambiguity and driving engagement.
  • Culture & Safety: Promote a positive work environment and safety culture through proactive initiatives.
  • People Analytics: Use workforce metrics (e.g., turnover, retention, internal mobility) to inform decisions and anticipate risks.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to labor laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Candidate Selection & Onboarding: Play an active role in hiring and onboarding processes.
  • Consultative Influence: Challenge and advise leaders thoughtfully, balancing empathy with business acumen.
  • Employer Branding: Represent the company at job fairs and community events to strengthen talent pipeline.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Industrial/Labor Relations, Organizational Psychology, or related field required.
    • Master’s degree preferred.
    • Professional certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in HR business partnering, employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.
    • Experience in manufacturing or operational environments preferred.
    • Background in FDA-regulated or GMP environments is a strong plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and influencing abilities across all levels.
    • Highly organized with discretion in handling sensitive matters.
    • Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into strategic insights.
    • Professional maturity and consultative approach in employee relations.
    • Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead change effectively.
