Position Summary:

Necco has an opportunity for a career as Human Resource Business Partner. This role will be embedded within the Operations team while maintaining a strong, collaborative connection with the back office Human Resources team. This role will provide value to the company by fostering a positive and legally compliant work environment through employee relations, workers’ compensation oversight, progressive discipline management, accommodations, and unemployment claims.

The candidate selected will be responsible for the following:

 

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, aligning HR strategies with operational goals to support business objectives
  • Analyze organizational trends and metrics to develop HR solutions, programs, and policies
  • Participate in strategic planning processes, providing HR insights on workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management

 

Employee Relations and Compliance

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, providing expert guidance on workplace disputes, grievances, disciplinary actions, and corrective measures
  • Advise and support managers in handling employee performance concerns, ensuring fair and consistent corrective action practices
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee concerns, policy violations, and workplace conflicts, ensuring timely and appropriate resolutions
  • Partner with leadership to foster a positive, inclusive, and legally compliant work environment that aligns with company values
  • Analyze trends in employee relations to identify emerging challenges and recommend policy improvements that enhance workplace culture and compliance

 

Progressive Discipline, Accommodations, & Unemployment Claims

  • Provide strategic oversight of the progressive discipline process, ensuring fair, transparent, and legally sound implementation across all levels
  • Coach and educate managers on best practices for addressing employee performance and behavioral concerns while fostering professional growth
  • Manage unemployment claims, including responding to state inquiries, preparing supporting documentation, and representing the company in appeals hearings when necessary
  • Train and empower managers with the knowledge and skills to navigate workers’ compensation processes and return-to-work strategies effectively
  • Manage ADA and FMLA accommodations, collaborating closely with employees, managers, and legal teams to facilitate reasonable workplace adjustments while ensuring compliance with all regulations

 

Data Analysis & HR Reporting

  • Leverage HR metrics and analytics to identify trends, evaluate program effectiveness, and guide decision-making
  • Prepare and present HR reports for leadership, highlighting key workforce trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to employee engagement, turnover, and compliance

 

Talent Development & Workforce Planning

  • Partner with leadership to identify skills gaps and create development plans to address future workforce needs
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to ensure hiring strategies align with organizational needs and culture
  • Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives to build a strong talent pipeline
  • Facilitate career pathing conversations and talent reviews to support employee retention and growth
  • Support and guide inclusive hiring, promotion, and talent management processes
  • Analyze workforce data and recommend strategies to foster a more inclusive culture

 

Leadership Coaching & Development

  • Design and deliver impactful training sessions to strengthen leadership capabilities in employee relations, accommodations, and disciplinary action implementation
  • Provide hands-on coaching and mentorship to management on performance feedback, employee development, dispute resolution techniques, and effective communication strategies
  • Work closely with leadership to ensure that HR strategies align with broader business objectives, supporting long-term organizational growth

 

Legal & Risk Mitigation

  • Partner with legal teams on separation agreements, reduction-in-force (RIF) matters, and compliance-related concerns, ensuring risk is minimized
  • Stay current on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, ensuring all HR policies and actions remain fully compliant
  • Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of HR matters to mitigate organizational risk and support legal compliance in all employment-related decisions

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Advanced degrees or professional certifications in HR are preferred
  • 5+ years of HR experience, with a focus on employee relations, accommodations, and compliance
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, unemployment, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to adapt to new systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid Driver’s License required
