Job Description:

The Human Resources Business Partner will be responsible for managing various human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations and compliance. This role will be leading the efforts of our TikTok team growth and expansion to align with the growing social commerce platform. This role requires an understanding of California labor laws and regulations, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with employees at all levels. This role will report directly to our Global General Counsel and work closely with our corporate director of people, while also working closely with senior management in FanFix, TikTok and the finance department to drive business results.

This position will be on site between our TikTok and FanFix office, both located in Los Angeles.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including people planning, job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making job offers.
  • Gather market intelligence regarding best practices and recruiting practiced by peer companies to keep the Company’s compensation offerings compelling
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and compliance with company policies.

Employee Relations:

  • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and issues.
  • Provide guidance on conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment through employee engagement initiatives.
  • Work closely with management on performance and employee management
  • Work with management to develop and communicate employee bonuses and equity plans

Training and Development:

  • Coordinate and deliver training programs related to HR policies, procedures, and compliance.
  • Identify areas for employee development and support career growth initiatives.

HR Systems and Reporting:

  • Maintain and update HRIS (Human Resource Information System) with accurate employee data.
  • Generate and analyze HR reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Analyze new payroll systems to potentially optimize local payroll
  • Work with corporate Human Resources to process payroll
Compliance and Legal:
  • Ensure compliance with California labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law changes and implement necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate HR records and reports.

Qualifications:

  • 10- 15 years of proven experience as an HRBP
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to understand the business needs to effectively manage the applicable teams
  • Knowledge of California labor laws and regulations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Compensation:
$100-120K Annual Salary
