To help us continue our mission to advance industrialized construction innovations and products for a safer, more sustainable, and predictable building environment, we are seeking an experienced strategic Human Resources Business Partner to join our team.  

Role Snapshot  

As we continue advancing industrialized construction, the Human Resources Business Partner team plays a crucial role in developing strong leaders, building high-performing teams, and elevating our culture. 

  • Align business objectives with employees and management in designated business units 
  • Serve as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues 
  • Acts as an employee champion and change agent 
  • Formulates partnerships across the Human Resources Department to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization 

This is a full-time onsite position offering flexibility to work from our corporate office in West Sacramento, CA with regular travel to our Woodland, CA manufacturing plant (or can be based full-time at the Woodland plant. 

What You Will Do 

  • Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with staff, projects and proprietary information 
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all union and non-union related issues, and HR related questions/concerns for the manufacturing plants 
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) 
  • Consult with supervisors/management, provide HR guidance when appropriate 
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention 
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues 
  • Conduct effective and objective investigations 
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance 

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field 
  • 4+ years of Human Resources Business Partner and/or Generalist experience 
  • Knowledge of performance management, employee relations, safety practices, talent acquisition, and compensation strategy, with the ability to 
    apply this information in a manner that is compliant with relevant employment law 
  • Change agent with excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Strategic thinker with proven ability to drive continuous improvement and results 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and demonstrated experience utilizing HRMS 
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)

Compensation   

The annualized base pay range for this position is $110,000 USD to $120,000. Offer will be determined based on an individual’s qualifications, experience, location and other job-related factors. Base pay is one component of Clark Pacific’s Total Rewards program, which is intended to compensate and recognize team members for their contributions to our success.
