Based in our Rainsville, Alabama manufacturing facility and reporting to the Sr. Regional HR Manager, you will serve as a key HR Business Partner responsible for delivering Emerson’s Support Our People Strategy for our Rainsville, Alabama manufacturing facility.

In this role, you will be accountable for driving HR initiatives and activities, while also leading safety the safety program. You will provide consistent, proactive support, direction, and advice to leaders and employees on HR practices, policies, employee relations, and benefits to help achieve organizational objectives.

This position includes ownership of all Safety responsibilities for the Rainsville facility, requiring a hands-on and proactive approach to communication, incident prevention, training, and technical reporting. We look forward to seeing your application!

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Provide coaching, guidance, and advice to managers on employee relations, attendance, disciplinary, and performance management matters.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to recruit, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates for exempt, non-exempt, and hourly positions.
  • Resolve employee concerns in a fair and timely manner consistent with established practices.
  • Administer and maintain HR systems and processes, including performance reviews, compensation, and compliance with corporate and governmental requirements.
  • Process weekly payroll for hourly and non-exempt employees.
  • Lead all Safety/Environmental programs and training, maintaining compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with safety leadership to investigate and manage safety matters, including workers’ compensation claims, injury investigations, incident reporting, and tracking.
  • Serve as the key resource for Safety/ reporting and act as the site lead for OSHA, EPA, and internal/external audits and inspections.
  • Manage HR processes including HRIS (Oracle HCM), recruiting (Oracle Recruit), contingent workforce (Beeline), payroll (Kronos), training, development, performance reviews, and recognition programs.
  • Organize and facilitate new hire onboarding covering HR, safety, benefits, ethics, policies, and procedures.
  • Support employee engagement by coordinating recognition programs, company events, and committees.
  • Demonstrate leadership through integrity, professionalism, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Associate’s Degree and at least 3 years of HR experience, OR High School Diploma and at least 5 years of HR experience.
  • Experience supporting an hourly population
  • Proven ability to influence and advise both management and employees.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and make objective, data-based decisions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • HR experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Oracle HCM proficiency.
  • Experience working with Kronos.
