CoVantage Credit Union is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner that will provide human resource consultation and act as a liaison between HR and the rest of the credit union. Job Duties
- Provides guidance and advice on a range of HR topics, including performance management, policy guidance, and employee relations.
- Addresses employee concerns, conduct investigations, and manage employee relations issues under the guidance of the Human Resources Manager to help maintain a positive, welcoming work environment.
- Assists managers with creating and updating job descriptions and key performance measures.
- Maintains advanced level knowledge of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and serves as the subject matter expert for building and running more complex reports.
- Works with Compensation Specialist to provide appropriate, fair, well thought out recommendations with respect to wages ensuring an equitable distribution of pay that is based on responsibility and performance.
- Administers the performance management process, including administering performance reviews and assisting managers in documenting good and sub-standard performance in a manner that is fair, accurate, and that protects the credit union and employee.
- Maintains the confidentiality of member, employee, and credit union information. Has knowledge of highly sensitive employee matters and manages this information with professionalism and discretion at all times.
- Serves as a liaison for employees and managers regarding Personnel Policy administration and performance management concerns. Under guidance of the Human Resources Manager, provides oversight to ensure personnel practices and procedures are correctly interpreted, adhered to, and applied consistently throughout credit union.
- Proactively shares new ideas and explores emerging tools and processes that help improve efficiency, collaboration, and outcomes and implements when appropriate.
- Maintains knowledge of state and federal laws regarding employment practices as well as government reporting regulations affecting human resources.
- Establishes and maintains proactive communication with other business units and outside consultants/vendors that is clear and concise.
- Partners with other Human Resources team members to troubleshoot challenges, provide timely, informed responses to questions and requests, and drive efficient resolution of concerns.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve working relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
ย Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent human resources experience.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of labor law.
- Minimum of 4 yearsโ related experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
