JOB SUMMARY:

The HR Business Partner provides strategic HR leadership and partnership to assigned internal client groups, supporting the implementation of people practices aligned with Choice’s Values & Performance Principles. This role drives initiatives across associate relations, performance management, talent acquisition, organizational development, and belonging. As an individual contributor, the HRBP collaborates cross-functionally to ensure HR programs are effectively delivered and supports leaders in creating inclusive, high-performing environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned client groups, delivering HR programs and resolving routine and non-standard issues to include:
    • Champion Choice’s Coaching for Performance and Growth performance management processes.
    • Support Leaders through workforce planning and org design
    • Coach leaders to cultivate a workplace that is aligned with our Leadership Principles that fosters engagement, belonging, recognition, and retention empowering associates to perform at their best and thrive.
    • Collaborate with Hiring Managers and Talent Acquisition on hiring processes.
    • Consult and guide leaders on associate relations matters, ensuring balanced and compliant resolutions in compliance with Choice Policies and processes.
  • Lead and continuously enhance onboarding strategies to ensure a seamless, engaging, and inclusive experience for new hires accelerating their integration, productivity, and connection to the organization’s culture.
  • Champion strategic change and organizational development programs and initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Employment Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Experience in a corporate HR environment preferred.
  • Prior experience in employee relations and strategic HR support.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Experience with HRIS systems preferred.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • HR certification preferred.

Our corporate office locations:

North Bethesda, MD — Located at Pike & Rose, our worldwide headquarters is less than 15 miles from Washington, D.C., one block away from the North Bethesda Metro station, with easy access to I-495, complimentary parking, electronic charging stations, restaurants and retail.

Minneapolis, MN — Select roles are based in our Minneapolis office on Highway 394, near the intersection with Highway 100, only five minutes from downtown.

Field/Remote — Select roles designated as field/remote will require associates to work from a home office, connecting virtually with Choice team members and leadership on Zoom, with possible required travel depending on the role.
