We are hiring a Human Resources Manager to serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees in our Underwriting divisions. This role partners closely with management to drive employee engagement, performance, and talent while ensuring compliance with employment laws and alignment with business objectives. Responsibilities
- Perform Human Resources Business Partner duties for assigned Underwriting divisions providing consultative and tactical HR support.
- Coach and advise managers on a wide range of workforce matters, including employee engagement, performance management, compensation, and talent development.
- Partner with leaders to address employee relations issues, assess risk, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Apply broad knowledge of human resource functions to support managers and employees across areas such as benefits, compensation, and recruiting.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance HR programs, policies, and practices to support business needs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
- 5 years of Human Resource Manager or HR Business Partner experience.
- Proven knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance.
- Experience working across one or more HR functional areas, including benefits, compensation, and/or recruiting.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and influence managers and employees at various levels.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Solutions-oriented mindset with initiative and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products is required.
- PHR or SHRM-CP Certification is preferred.
