POSITION SUMMARY: The Human Resources Business Partner (“HRBP”) is an influential leader, partnering with a variety of global functions while working in close collaboration and partnership with our broader human resources team. The incumbent will drive employee engagement, operational excellence, and organizational success, while having oversight of all generalist functions including, but not limited to, performance management, talent management, employee relations, and aligning people processes to company’s corporate strategy and culture. In this role, the incumbent will be instrumental in leading, developing and maintaining systems, processes, and strategies that align with our mission to make every donated organ count.

This is an onsite position in Madison, NJ and may require periodic travel across the US to the UK and other locations.

Major Responsibilities

Under direction from the VP, Legal, Compliance & HR, or their delegate, the incumbent will cover a variety of ongoing activities such as:

·     Collaborate and partner with senior business leaders to understand their goals and challenges, translating them into HR strategies and initiatives that promote a high-performance culture. 

·     Develop and implement HR plans and policies that support the overall business strategy. 

·     Work collaboratively with UK HR team to develop best practices from a global HR standpoint.

·     Lead, mentor and develop the North American HR team to achieve organizational goals.

·     Lead or participate in all talent acquisition, succession planning, and employee development initiatives to ensure a diverse and skilled workforce. 

·     Lead operational HR matters for North America, including areas of onboarding, performance management, and the administration of benefits.   

·     Address and resolve employee relations issues, conducting investigations and providing recommendations and documentation.

·     Ensure HR practices comply with relevant laws and regulations. 

·     Utilize and analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement. 

·     Coach and guide leaders through organizational change initiatives, ensuring a smooth transition for employees. 

·     Work with Quality and Regulatory Affairs to ensure compliance for all US HR related auditable documentation. Support compliance with the company quality standards, FDA regulations and guidance, applicable EU Medical Device directives, applicable ISO standards, and other pertinent country specific medical regulatory requirements.

·     Adhere to the letter and spirit of OrganOx’s Code of Conduct and all other company policies.

 

Skills and Experience

·       Proven track record in HR Management.

·       Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively contribute as a team player. Strong sense of urgency and accountability; reactive to the changing business needs.

·       Ability to be nimble, adaptable, and independently carry-out and balance multiple responsibilities concurrently with the aptitude to anticipate and prioritize needs/workflow in a fast-paced environment; values quality and getting it right but can still move quickly.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.

·       Ability to build strong, positive, and credible relationships across all levels of the organization and multiple geographies; demonstrating discretion and sensitivity in handling confidential information or conversations.

·       Ability to create, develop and manage strong, positive relationships with outside vendors and coordination services.

·       Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude with strong analytical and decision-making skills.

·       Proactive with strong time and project management skills with ability to meet deadlines and support a virtual/remote team.

·       Self-directed, passion to deliver exceptional customer service, and results orientation.

·       Tech savvy: advanced skills and reporting in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint.

·       Possesses good cultural awareness.

·       Familiarity with PEO business model a plus.

·       Ability to work collaboratively across geographies, especially with UK based HR team.



Requirements

Qualifications

·       Experience working in heavily regulated industry such as medical device, pharmaceutical, finance or aerospace.

·       Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field, or the equivalent work experience.

·       Minimum 10+ years of progressive HR experience, of which at least 2 years should have been gained in fast-growing start-up/small company environments.

·       Minimum 4 years of experience managing direct reports.

·       Work experience must include payroll support or familiarity with payroll processing.

·       Proven hands-on experience with recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, performance management, employment law, compensation and total rewards, talent management and employee relations.

·       Strong working knowledge in a broad range of human resources areas including current HR issues, trends, and best practices.

·       PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred.

·       Experience working with multi-state organizations and distributed workforces.

The Pay Range for this position is $165,000 - $175,000 annually, with a 20% target annual bonus and benefits.
