The Human Resources Coordinator supports human resources administration, compliance, and employee engagement and retention activities for the organization. This role is responsible for coordinating hiring and onboarding processes, maintaining HR data systems and personnel records, assisting with benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal policies. The HR Coordinator also plays a key role in employee engagement efforts, event planning, and delivering exceptional customer service to staff.

Qualified candidates will have, but not limited to:

  • Strong customer service skills, with an emphasis on communicating Human Resources information to a diverse range of internal and external audiences while being clear and concise;
  • Professional communication skills, with an emphasis on presentation;
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g. FMLA/OFLA, ADA, wage and hour regulations);
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism;
  • Exercises sound judgment while upholding high integrity and ethical standards;
  • Working knowledge of file management best practices.
  • Knowledge of equity, diversity, inclusion and social justice theory and practical applications, including critical theory of systemic oppression, unconscious bias, and personal identity and intersectionality matters;
  • Minimum of 2 years in an administrative/office setting or equivalent combination of experience and education in an industry related to Human Resources, Business, Communications, or similar.
    • Demonstrated experience working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and talents in professional work environments;
    • Examples of effective utilization of tracking systems or tools in an office environment;
    • Examples of effective time management and organization in an office environment;
    • Track record of establishing or contributing to system and processes improvements.

The Human Resources Coordinator has an hourly rate of $26.97, and is eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes:

  • 2 weeks of vacation per year with no waiting period. Hours carry over year to year up to 200 hours;
