Position Description:
The Human Resources Coordinator will support the Chief People Officer by performing a wide range of administrative and operational HR duties at Lighthouse Mission Ministries (LMM). The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, an eye for detail, and a heart for Christ-centered service. This position is instrumental in ensuring efficient day-to-day HR operations including recruitment, benefits administration, employee support, and compliance-related recordkeeping. Flexible schedule with room to grow into an HR Director role.

Responsibilities:
•
Assist with job posting, resume screening, applicant communication, and interview coordination
•
Process onboarding and offboarding tasks
• Benefits administration and staff inquiries
•
Maintain accurate HR records in BambooHR
•
Support employee leave administration (FMLA, PFML, ADA)
•
Draft internal HR communications and announcements
•
Coordinate staff events and engagement activities
•
Assist with incident reports and promote safety culture
•
Track employment law updates relevant to WA State
•
Run reports and support compliance reviews
•
Other duties as assigned
Organizational Relationships:
Reports to the Chief People Officer.
Collaborates with leadership, hiring managers, and cross-functional teams.
Represents LMM to job applicants and external HR vendors or partners.
Qualifications:
Required:
•
3-5 years HR experience (Degree preferred but not required)
•
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
•
Integrity and commitment to confidentiality
•
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, HRIS systems (BambooHR experience a plus!)
•
Agreement with LMM’s Statement of Faith and Life & Personal Covenant
•
Active church/prayer life and a heart for ministry
Preferred:
•
Experience in a nonprofit or faith-based organization
•
Familiarity with Washington State HR laws
•
SHRM-CP or progress toward certification
Physical Demands & Environment:
•
Sedentary role with occasional walking/standing (70% sitting / 30%)
•
