TITLE: Human Resources Coordinator (US Citizenship REQUIRED)

MAX RATE: $39.77/hr W2 (No health benefits no PTO while on contract-an hour worked is an hour paid)

LOCATION: Jacksonville, FL (no relocation package)

DURATION: 3-4 month contact to fill in for someone on a leave

CLEARANCE: None

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resource Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support for various HR functions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and fostering a positive work environment. This role requires a strong understanding of HR principles, excellent communication

skills, and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

HR Administration

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files 
  • Process employee data, including new hires, terminations, and benefits changes 
  • Assist with HR-related projects and initiatives as needed 

 

Benefits Administration: 

  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and terminations
  • Communicate benefits information to employees and provide support with benefits-related inquiries 

 

Communication and Training: 

  • Communicate HR policies, procedures, and updates to employees and management 

 

Employee Relations: 

  • Provide guidance and support to employees on company policies, procedures, and benefits 
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints and concerns in a fair and timely manner 
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and retention 

 

Recruitment and Hiring:

  • Assist with the recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and candidate selection 
  • Assist with new hire onboarding, orientation and I9s. 
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to ensure compliance with company hiring policies and procedures 

 

Compliance and Risk Management: 

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

At least 3 years of working in HR

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills 

Strong organizational skills 

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Proficient in HR software and systems, including HRIS and benefits administration platforms

Proficient in Microsoft 365 platforms. (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)

 

SKILLS PREFERRED:

Strong analytical skills 

Ability to build power-point presentations

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
 3-5 years of experience in human resources or a related field, required.

 

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
 Experience working in a shipyard or manufacturing environment with skilled trades, preferred.

 

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

 

EDUCATION PREFERRED:

Certifications: SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
