As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will:

  • Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests. Provide assistance on items within span of responsibilities and refer all other inquiries and requests to the proper individual for resolution.  
  • Administer benefits including enrollments, changes, and terminations of coverage. Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.  
  • Assist with the recruitment process including maintenance of Applicant Tracking System, posting of job openings, issuing offer letters, and conducting applicable background checks. Serve as the credit union liaison with third party recruiter.  
  • Coordinate the pre-boarding and onboarding of new employees. Serve as the point of contact for candidates, answer their questions, and send relevant communications and resources. Complete new employee onboarding within 3 business days of new employee’s start date.  
  • Complete Forms I-9, verify I-9 documentation, and maintain I-9 files.  
  • Process employee terminations in the system, according to established procedures including maintenance of applicable systems, benefits cancellation, and updating employee records.  
  • Process employee status changes including, but not limited to, transfers, promotions, and pay changes.  
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity as assigned.  
  • Maintain employee records, both electronically and physically, to ensure legal compliance.  
  • Assist with payroll and ad-hoc HR projects. Serve as back-up for Executive Assistant tasks.  
  • Prepare training materials and coordinate supplies for assigned sessions and programs. Assist with the creation and revision of training materials, HR manuals, and the Employment Guide.

Requirements
  • Requires education equivalent to a four-year high school education or general education degree (GED). Experience in human resources administration, employment law, or payroll practices preferred. 
  • Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for communicating with staff, providing technical assistance, serving as a representative of the credit union.
  • Strong computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools.  
  • Fact-finding and investigative skills required to solve problems, meticulous attention to detail, ability to work well under pressure, and strong organizational and time management skills required.  
  • Requires sound and accurate judgment. A willingness to make decisions in a timely manner, usually within established guidelines while including appropriate people in decision-making processes. Ability to support and explain reasoning for decisions.
  • Requires excellent interviewing and interpersonal skills, ability to listen to employees’ needs and implement appropriate solutions.

$22.00-$23.00/hour
