Position Overview

MNCCS is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Administrative Contractor to support day-to-day HR operations. This role will serve as the first point of contact for HR-related matters, ensuring timely support for employees and managers while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

This is a 12-month contract position with a high likelihood of extension or transition into a full-time employee role, depending on organizational needs and project progress.


Key Responsibilities

1. HR Operations & Employee Support

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for employee inquiries (PTO, payroll, policies, benefits, etc.)

  • Manage HR inbox and ensure timely responses and follow-ups

  • Provide guidance aligned with MNCCS policies and procedures

  • Support managers with day-to-day HR questions and employee matters

2. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate job postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling

  • Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process

  • Facilitate onboarding, including offer letters, background checks, I-9, and employment documentation.

  • Ensure completion of required compliance training (HIPAA, mandated reporting, etc.)

3. HR Administration & Recordkeeping

  • Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems (ADP and internal platforms)

  • Process employment changes (status updates, pay changes, terminations)

  • Support employment verification requests

  • Ensure documentation compliance with MNCCS standards

4. Policy & Compliance Support

  • Apply and reinforce company policies consistently

  • Assist with policy communication and employee acknowledgment tracking

  • Support audits and compliance reviews (personnel files, training records)

  • Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and company policies

5. Employee Relations (Tier 1)

  • Handle basic employee relations inquiries

  • Escalate complex or sensitive issues to HR Manager

  • Assist with documentation for employee concerns, performance, and disciplinary actions

6. Administrative & Operational Support

  • Assist with HR communications and announcements

  • Support HR projects and strategic initiatives

  • Maintain HR intranet resources and documentation

  • Coordinate with payroll and finance for HR-related processes


Qualifications

Required

  • 1–3+ years of experience in HR, administrative support, or related field

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

  • Experience with HR systems (ADP or similar preferred)

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through

Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare, human services, or case management environments

  • Familiarity with compliance requirements (HIPAA, DHS, or similar)

  • Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding processes
