The HR Coordinator provides essential day-to-day support across all human resources functions. As the first point of contact for employee inquiries (Tier 1 support), you will manage our HRIS (Workday), assist with benefits administration, support employee relations (ER), and ensure policy compliance. This role requires a high degree of organization, discretion, and a "no task is too small" mentality. There is a core element of customer service delivery inherent to this role.
Essential Functions
HRIS & Data Management (Workday)
Maintain the Workday HRIS by processing all employee actions (hires, terminations, promotions, and transfers).
Perform regular data audits to ensure 100% accuracy in employee records and reporting.
Support new hire onboarding and orientation delivery.
Serve as the internal "super-user," assisting employees with basic Workday navigation (password resets, updating personal info).
Benefits Administration (Tier 1 Support)
Act as the primary contact for employee questions regarding health, dental, and retirement plans.
Coordinate Special Enrollment Events (loss of coverage, life events) and ensure proper documentation is collected and filed.
Assist with the annual Open Enrollment process, including materials distribution and data entry.
Reconcile monthly benefit invoices to ensure accurate billing and enrollment.
Employee Support & Engagement
Conduct initial intake for employee concerns or grievances, escalating complex issues to the HR Manager.
Coordinate the Onboarding and Offboarding process, including equipment logistics, background checks, and I-9 verification for administrative and clinical leadership roles.
Support compensation increase requests and documentation.
Policy & Compliance
Assist in maintaining compliance with federal and state laws (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, and state-specific paid leave programs, as applicable).
Ensure all labor law posters are up to date and physically/digitally displayed.
Maintain physical and digital personnel files in accordance with retention laws.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in an HR administrative or customer-facing role.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
HRIS Expertise: Prior experience with Workday is highly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) is required.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information with total confidentiality.
Proven ability to thrive in a small-team environment where priorities can shift quickly.
PHR or SHRM-CP certification (preferred).
Experience in a multi-state environment (preferred).
Salary: $58,000-$65,000
