JOB DESCRIPTION

This is professional administrative work overseeing and administering the activities of the Human Resources and Organizational Development sections. An employee in a position allocated to this class will run the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, benefits, leaves, and enforcing company policies and practices. This employee is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resources functions of the organization. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to recruitment, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, morale, training and development.  

QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration, or a related field; three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience in the full scope of human resources activities; or an equivalent combination of related training and experience to education.

Equivalency: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration, or a related field, and one (1) year of progressively responsible professional experience in the full scope of human resources activities; or Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration, or a related field, and may substitute for the required experience; or Graduation from high school or possession of a GED, and five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in the full scope of human resources activities or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.

PREFERENCES

Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources experience.
