As we continue to grow, we are seeking an organized, people-focused, and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator / Onboarding Specialist to join our Salt Lake City team. This role is critical in creating a positive first impression and ensuring every employee begins their career at Redi Services with confidence, compliance, and connection.

Position Summary

The HR Coordinator / Onboarding Specialist serves as the first point of connection for many new employees and plays an essential role in delivering a world-class onboarding experience. This individual will coordinate onboarding, CDL compliance requirements, employee documentation, and hiring manager communication while ensuring every process reflects Redi Services' commitment to safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Safety First

  • Coordinate and manage CDL Driver onboarding, ensuring all safety-sensitive hiring requirements are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct background screenings, MVR checks, Verification of Employment (VOE), and drug and alcohol testing coordination to support safe hiring practices.
  • Ensure all onboarding documentation and compliance processes are completed with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Communicate company safety expectations, policies, and onboarding requirements to new hires.

Ownership is Expected

  • Take ownership of the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring every new hire has a smooth, organized, and welcoming experience.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for newly hired employees and hiring managers.
  • Prepare onboarding materials, welcome packages, schedules, and required documentation.
  • Set up employee profiles and audit information within HR systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prioritize multiple onboarding timelines and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Identify opportunities to improve onboarding workflows, communication, and overall employee experience.
  • Recommend scalable, measurable, and innovative onboarding solutions.
  • Support reporting, onboarding metrics, and project updates for HR leadership.
  • Challenge outdated processes and contribute ideas that improve efficiency and employee engagement.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and/or equivalent work experience required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources, onboarding, recruiting coordination, or related experience required.
  • Experience supporting CDL onboarding, MVR reviews, DOT compliance, or safety-sensitive hiring processes preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with professionalism and attention to detail.
