This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources activities with a focus on work comp and liability claims for multi-state clubs throughout the United States. This position will also assist with semi-monthly payroll. 
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with new hire processing and on-boarding 
  • Support company management in personnel and HR administration 
  • Assist with payroll processing by established deadlines for all locations
  • Assist with answering payroll related questions timely 
  • Manage all employee work-related injury claims and member injury claims acting as a liaison between employees, members, insurance carriers, attorneys and medical providers.  
  • OSHA reporting 
  • Assist with processing wage and employment verification forms
  • Assist with employee relations issues as needed
  • Work on special projects and other assignments as requested 
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints 
 
Job Requirements: 
  • Good understanding of state-specific Worker’s Compensation laws and OSHA regulations
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage sensitive situations, negotiate settlements and advise management
  • Attention to detail for filing, reporting and record-keeping
  • High degree of personal and professional discretion 
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • 1+ years payroll experience preferred but not required.
  • 1+ years risk management experience
 
Physical Requirements: 
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to communicate with guests and other associates, including reading, writing and speaking
