Position: Human Resources Generalist
Work Year: 12-month position, benefit-eligible
Reports to: The Director of Human Resources
Salary: $65,000 - $68,000
Job Overview: Provide support to the Assistant Director and Director of Human Resources and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Office.
Responsibilities:
- Process all employee actions (new hires, transfers, separations, etc.)
- Track staff data
- Responsible for the onboarding process for employees, volunteers, and student interns
- Complete employment verifications
- Input and maintain data in various databases
- Conduct CORI checks and maintain fingerprinting suitability determination data
- Oversees management of electronic employee files and other Human Resources files
- Prepare reports as needed
- Assist with employee leaves of absence
- Post all positions internally and externally
- Provide administrative support to the Assistant Director and Director of Human Resources
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the Human Resources field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Experience with Google Suite or Microsoft Suite required
- Experience with HRIS systems required
- Experience working in a public school/municipal government setting is preferred
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
