Diamond Pet Foods is looking for an HR Generalist to join our team!

Job Scope: The Human Resources Generalist' overall responsibility, and objective, is to provide support to the Human Resources Manager by performing HR-related duties on a professional level while upholding Diamond Pet Foods overall mission.

Essential Functions


Recruitment
Facilitating the employment of all temporary and full-time employees.

  • Sourcing candidates through iSolved Hire, posting jobs, phone screening candidates and scheduling candidate interviews for open positions.

Onboarding/Benefits
Assemble and update onboarding packets for new hire orientation.
Conduct new hire orientation.
Assist with verifying and processing all new hire paperwork maintaining accuracy and completeness.
Conduct and verify benefits enrollment information with new employee.
Assist with annual Open Enrollment.


HRIS Maintenance
Backup on reviewing timecards on a weekly basis and before each payroll to prepare the Payroll Team for payroll processing.
Assist with assigning and updating new Badges in the HRIS and LenelS2 Systems.
Assist with Unemployment Claims and Employment Verifications.
Input Wellness and Dependent Eligibility dates in HRIS System.

General HR Support

File and maintenance of employee files.
Cards – completion of employee birthday cards.
Advise employees and supervisors with general employment-related questions and escalate complex issues to the HR manager.
Assist with employee rewards and recognition programs.
Assist with employee engagement initiatives and the planning employee and community events (For example Christmas Party, Picnic, and Job Fairs).
Assist with the coordination of key HR initiatives, projects and other duties as assigned.

Ability to file properly.

Must be able to take direction, work efficiently and safely.
Must be proficient in using a computer system and Microsoft Office Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Adobe Acrobat.


Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related degree highly preferred.
A minimum of two years of previous human resources experience required.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of HR related laws, policies and procedures.
Ability to handle highly sensitive matters and maintain confidentially.
Detail-oriented team player with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
