Human Resources Generalist
Work Location and Hours: In Office – Edmond, OK; M-F, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Summary: The HR Generalist provides human resource support to the Director – Human Resources to assist supervisors and employees, ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures and regulations.Essential Responsibilities: Payroll and Benefits- Assists employees with benefits and payroll questions by utilizing our partnership with Farm Credit Foundations
- Enters payroll changes to HR software
- Generates payroll reports
- Reconciles payroll and benefits data semi-monthly to ensure accuracy of data
- Submits various payroll reimbursements for approval and processing
Recruitment- Coordinates position postings on various employment websites
- Initiates pre-employment screenings: phone screens, assessments
- Communicates with candidates to schedule interviews
- Assists HR Director with reference, background checks, new hire binder
- Collects data related to applicants for Affirmative Action Program
- Backs up HR Director in onboarding and offboarding employees (exit interviews)
- Assists with Career Fairs, Internship Program, and Student Board
Training and Development- Administration of learning management system
- Identifies and recommends training modules for learning and development/implements trainings
Employee Relations and Filing- Maintains electronic personnel files according to retention plan
- Audits employee files
- Updates company organizational chart
Projects- Complies with HR audit controls and pulls various reports to ensure a clean audit
- Reviews and recommends changes to HR Capital & Business Plan
- Reviews and recommends changes to Affirmative Action Plan
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- 2 years of Human Resources Experience
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
- SHRM or PHR Certification preferred but not required
- Working experience with Payroll
- Working knowledge of employee benefits
- Working knowledge of recruitment processes
- Knowledge of learning and development and employee training
- Excellent Oral and written communication skills
- Excellent Organizational Skills
- Sill in utilizing Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook
