Winpak Lane Inc. is seeking a Human Resource Generalist based in join our team in Rialto, California.

Reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), the HR Generalist collaborates closely with members of the Human Resources team (Centers of Expertise and HRBPs) and client groups to drive and support critical HR processes, including, performance management, compensation, workforce planning, employee and labor relations, and talent acquisition. The HR Generalist support leaders to manage their teams through all stages of the employee life cycle by effectively interpreting and applying HR processes and policies.
The HR Generalist will support the implementation and improvement of the OneWinpak HR principles, policies in collaboration with Centers of Expertise. Through effective guidance and collaboration of the HRBP, the HR Generalist will ensure that HR strategies are seamlessly integrated into operations to advance the company’s goals and strengthen engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Management
- Works with the HRBP to guide managers and employees through the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, talent reviews and development planning. Ensures that process timelines are consistent.
- Advises Managers and Supervisors regarding employee performance issues ensuring that our people have every reasonable opportunity to succeed.
Compensation:
- Partners with the HRBP to facilitate all aspects of the annual compensation process delivering performance informed merit increases within budget and on-time.
- Facilitate sessions that develop people leaders’ understanding and application of the compensation principles, process and their application.
Wellness and Benefits:
- Support awareness of and participation in wellness and benefits programs to enhance employee well-being and engagement.
- Facilitate leaves of absence, case management and the return to work process ensuring that our people are set up for success and their wellness and safety are assured.
Disability Case Management:
- Facilitate the disability case management process, ensuring employees are enabled to return to work as soon as reasonably possible.
- Provide support and guidance to employees and managers regarding disability accommodations and return-to-work programs.
- Provide direction to HR Coordinators regarding all aspects of leave and claim process administration.
Employee Engagement:
- Deliver the onboarding process, ensuring new employees receive an exceptional experience and are set up for success in their new roles.
- Support with the continuous improvement of the onboarding experience to enhance new employee engagement and retention.
Employee and Labor Relations:
- Supporting the HRBPs and managers, address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in investigations of harassment or employee misconduct ensuring timely resolution, complete documentation and substantiated findings and recommendations. Help ensure recommendations are implemented.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and support an engaging work environment that positions people for professional and personal success.
Learning and Development:
- Support L&D CoE, with recommend training and development interventions that enable performance.
HR Operations:
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
HR Data and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports as required.
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Stay current on and ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal labor and employment laws and regulations.
- Monitor updates to employment legislation and proactively recommend policy changes as needed.
- Maintain compliance with wage and hour laws, FMLA, EEO, OSHA, ADA, ACA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Partner with leadership to mitigate risk and ensure consistent policy enforcement.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate on OneWinpak project and initiatives.
- Promote teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication within the department and company.
- Advise employees and people leaders on HR related policies, procedures, benefits.
Qualifications:
- Related University degree or College Diploma
- Three (3) years of related experience
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative, trust-based relationships
- Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Be flexible to support internal clients on all shifts or weekends when required;
- Ability to plan and execute HR projects
- Excellent written and oral communication skills – ability to facilitate group training and discussions
- Experience using an HCM is an asset
- Experience un a unionized, manufacturing environment is an asset
Additional Details:
- This position is full time and onsite at our location in Rialto, California
- The salary range for this position is $ 68,000 - $102,000
