Position Summary
Workplace HCM is hiring an HR Generalist to support our clients' outsourced HR service needs. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience with employee relations, policy creation, and compliance background. A successful individual in this position will become a knowledgeable liaison between Workplace HCM and an array of clients, employees, and vendors.
Responsibilities of the Human Resources Generalist:
- Developing and administering various human resources plans and procedures for all client personnel; participating in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave requests, disciplinary matters; disputes and investigation, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, etc.
- Directly engages client and client employees with questions related to human resource challenges.
- Supports and coordinates HR initiatives related to clients including employee related trainings, new legal rollouts, handbooks, job descriptions, etc.
- Assists with the development of HR policies for clients.
- Recruiting & Onboarding – Sourcing resumes, perform initial phone screen, and coordinate interviews with hiring manager. Onboard new staff for clients
- Complies with all existing governmental, labor, legal and reporting requirements.
- Serves as a resource for HR policies.
- Travel to clients within tri-state area - No overnight travel involved on a weekly basis.
Requirements of the HR Generalist
- 3 plus years of HR Generalist Experience
- Direct employee relations experience; with coaching, mentoring, disciplinary actions, investigations, etc.
- Knowledge of HR best practices, policies, and procedures
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations related to employment
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Advanced organizational, administrative, and time management skills
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, & communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, preferred
- SHRM or HRCI Certification Required
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
- Full-Time / On-Site Position
- Some travel to clients in tri-state area
- Work Hours – 8:30AM – 5:00PM M-F
Salary:
- $50,000 – $65,000 Based on Experience and Certification
