Technique, Inc. is a Michigan-based stamping, tubing and welding facility offering the shortest lead-times and highest quality parts in the industry. We offer high-speed prototypes, ultra-low volume stampings, tubing and assemblies for production and emergency-based manufacturing for industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical and food processing.

Position Summary:
The HR Generalist is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the HR department. This includes assisting in the development and execution of a comprehensive and innovative recruitment strategy, overseeing employee data management, handling time and attendance tracking, coordinating benefits, and managing various HR-related projects.
Success in this role requires a results-driven approach, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of confidentiality.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Assist with payroll preparation, timekeeping and benefits administration
  • Assist with strategic recruitment efforts, including coordinating campus recruitment events, developing recruitment plans and screening resumes.
  • Develop and maintain employee training programs
  • Various recordkeeping tasks
  • Maintain and assist employees with FMLA leave and ADA compliant accommodations.
  • Manage employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies, labor laws, and industry regulations
  • Conduct new employee orientation, and process onboarding paperwork.
  • Assist with planning employee engagement activities, monitoring morale, and fostering a positive workplace culture
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Associate’s degree in HR or related field required, bachelor’s preferred
CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: SHRM-CP or SCP preferred
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years in HR or related field preferred

Position Requirements (Skills & Abilities):
  • Ability to multitask accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong operating knowledge of standard office equipment
  • Familiar with HR software and HRIS information system such as Paychex
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Access and Excel)
  • Excellent data entry skills and keen attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Flexibility and the ability to handle various HR functions, from administrative tasks to strategic planning

TRAVEL
Minimal is expected for this position. Daytime travel locally is considered part of the role.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
This position will require working indoors.  Typical workweek is eight (8) hour workdays, five (5) days per week with some weekend work, as well as longer hours as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee will have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
