HR Generalist
Department: Human Resources FLSA Status: Exempt Reports To: Director of Infrastructure
The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including collaborating with department managers on hiring and interviewing staff, payroll, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assists in reviewing, tracking and documenting compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, including licensure and certification.
- Provides support to management, recruits, assists in interviewing and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Conducts weekly new hire orientation and assists in offboarding of personnel.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Completes the employee onboarding experience from recruitment through new hire enrollment in benefits.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- May evaluate, select and oversee vendors that provide supplemental HR processes and services.
- Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations.
- Accurately assists the payroll department on a bi-weekly basis.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Board Members, members of management, clients and vendors of CCMSD on behalf of the CEO.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- A minimum of three years of human resource experience required.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred, HRCI certifications accepted or must be actively in the process of obtaining certifications.
