IF currently has 13+ facilities with 22+ micro-communities scattered across Orange County, Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire.
Job Description The HR Generalist is responsible for the coordination and administration of routine people operations. The role of the HR Generalist has both strategic and administrative responsibilities and plays a leading role in planning and carrying out important functions, such as handling client grievances, verifications of employment, COBRA approvals, and EDD filings/audits.
The pay range for this position is $28 - $30 per hour.
Responsibilities
General Duties
Support and monitor the COBRA process, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations and deadlines.
Prepare and send Verification of Employment (VOE) emails in a timely and accurate manner.
Respond to Employment Development Department (EDD) claims as required.
Client Grievances
Promptly address client grievances within a reasonable and appropriate timeframe.
Provide timely and effective resolution updates to both internal leaders and external clients.
Conduct regular in-person site visits at each client’s location to assess and resolve concerns.
Produce and maintain accurate client intake reports and document all grievances in the designated tracking systems.
Generate monthly grievance summary reports for internal analysis and external distribution as needed.
Reporting and Documentation
Maintain detailed and organized records of all client grievances and resolution actions.
Utilize tracking tools and reporting systems to ensure transparency and accountability in grievance management.
Deliver clear, professional, and data-driven reports to leadership teams and clients on a regular basis.
Associate’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a Human Resources or administrative support role.
Knowledge of COBRA, EDD claims, and general employment laws and regulations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS systems.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related discipline.
Experience managing employee grievances or conflict resolution processes.
Prior experience with HR compliance audits and onboarding documentation.
Familiarity with reporting tools and data analysis for HR metrics.
Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.
