Description

Scope:

  

The HR Generalist supports a broad range of human resources functions with a strong emphasis on HRIS administration, payroll support, benefits administration, leave management, and employee relations. This role will help maintain accurate HR data, support compliance with employment regulations, and provide responsive HR service to employees and managers. The Human Resource Generalist will assist in ensuring the AdvancedPCB philosophy is consistently reinforced by holding all staff accountable through positive reinforcement of policies and procedures.


Essential Job Function:

  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource program including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Administers benefits and employee leave. 
  • Administers HRIS System and performs data entry.   Assists Finance with Payroll processing. 
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Including new hire eligibility, enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Assists the Corporate Recruiter with recruitment and interview process as requested.
  • Responsible for On-boarding and Off-boarding personnel.
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions in a timely manner.
  • Tracks and manages employee documents.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field of study Preferred
  • 2 to 5 years of progressive work experience supporting a comprehensive understanding of business practice
  • Hands on experience working with HRIS system (Paylocity preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.


Physical Requirements:

  • Long periods of time at a desk working at a computer.
  • Walking on uneven surfaces, step up and down.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities

This position requires access to controlled technical data and/or participation in activities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
