The HR Generalist supports daily Human Resources operations and assists in implementing HR programs, policies, and initiatives. This role partners with supervisors and employees to ensure consistency in HR practices, positive employee relations, and compliance with company standards and employment laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support HR programs including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, compensation, training, and employee relations.
  • Partner with supervisors to address employee performance, attendance, and conduct issues in alignment with company policy.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS (e.g., ADP Workforce Now) and ensure confidentiality of employee information.
  • Assist with new hire orientation, benefit enrollment, and annual open enrollment activities.
  • Support leave management including FMLA, ADA, and workers' compensation processes.
  • Conduct investigations and prepare documentation related to employee relations matters.
  • Generate and analyze HR reports (headcount, turnover, absenteeism, etc.) to identify trends and support data-driven decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Participate in employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and safety communications.
  • Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers with professionalism and discretion.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist role (manufacturing environment a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred but not required.

Work Environment

  • Office and production floor setting
  • May require flexibility to support multiple shifts as needed.
