PURPOSE:

Lancaster/ACME Distribution Center, a division of the Albertsons Companies, is currently searching for a Human Resources Representative to join our team. Albertsons Companies is one of the largest food and drug retailers with 2,300+ stores. The Albertsons Companies family of brands includes some of the most prominent brands in food retailing, with a growing base of loyal shoppers.
 

Main responsibilities:

  • Successful candidate will support the Distribution Center in all aspects of Human Resources, including recruitment & onboarding; associate relations; staffing & retention; associate development & engagement; performance management; compensation; HRIS data integrity; benefits; and leave management. Contribute to a positive environment and reduce legal risks to the company.

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

  • Work with Hiring Managers in support of recruitment efforts. This includes developing relationships with external partners, such as schools, trade centers, and professional organizations.
  • Develop and participate in consistent selection processes for compliance and identification of qualified candidates.
  • Utilize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to effectively manage applicants through the onboarding process.
  • Maintain and deliver the New Hire Orientation Program.
  • Assist with Associate concerns and investigations to ensure consistency and fairness in policy and procedure, including topics related to employment, EEO, and/or ADA. Identify any potential risks.
  • Refer associates to appropriate resources for assistance with inquiries.
  • Track and review HR metrics to support staffing and to make recommendations for retention. This includes headcount, open positions, turnover, retention, etc.
  • Assist with associate training and development programs as required.
  • Work with supervisors/managers within the performance management process.
  • Support compensation management when needed.
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity. Conduct audits as required to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate associate benefits and assist with questions. Support associates with selection upon hire and during Open Enrollment.
  • Assist associates with FMLA/LOA compliance. Coordinate with AEC/Leave Management Team to identify issues or concerns.
  • Manage and facilitate associate engagement projects, including associate events, service awards and communication processes.
  • Assist the Senior HR Manager with Special projects and assignments as needed

    Job Requirements

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think with a strategic mindset, aligning HR objectives with business operations, goals & objectives.
  • Experience with investigations & the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Emotionally intelligent and compassionate, with the ability to demonstrate understanding and support for others’ perspectives.
  • Ability to navigate complex workplace dynamics in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team player and collaborator.
  • Proactive and enthusiastic to share ideas and improve processes.
  • Experience with an HRIS and/or ATS system.
  • Experience with unemployment (ER) administrative actions
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
