What Will You Do?

Onboarding

  • Coordinate with management from recruitment process to onboarding process.
  • Elevate our total onboarding experience.
  • Partner with hiring managers, office managers, IT to ensure a smooth transition for New Team Member onboarding
  • Collaborates with managers on employee engagement initiatives such as onboarding, orientation and training.

Benefits

  • Act as primary resource regarding interpretation of benefit programs for associates.
  • Assist participants with benefit matters including explanation of benefits, eligibility, and benefit claims.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of all benefit programs and eligibility requirements.
  • Follow up with employees following enrollment to ensure the employee has been signed up for the correct benefit package.

Employee Relations

  • Act as a point of contact for employees’ questions and concerns, provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Address, elevate, support and document the resolution of employee relations issue in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Act as an advocate for both the employee and employer.
  • Participate in various HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement surveys, culture building activities and process improvements.

Worker Compensation

  • Support workplace injuries by sending employee to medical clinic and completing claim form and submitting to insurance carrier. Monitor any follow-up medical treatment. Maintain the OSHA-300 log.
  • Monitor & work to minimize lost-time injuries/illnesses & Worker's Compensation Claims. Review injury/illness & non-injury incident investigation reports & follow-up as necessary
  • Ensure Compliance with the Onni safety and health policies and procedures.

Performance Management

  • Assist in the development and implementation of Employee Action Plans and or performance documentation.
  • Work with managers to address performance related matters and provide support and coaching to enhance relationships, performance and optimization.

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations and company policies.
  • Manage, organize, and safeguard confidential material, displaying the utmost level of discretion and ethical standards.
  • Manages files for employee investigations. Ensures all files contain backup data, as well as a timeline of events. Works to close any gaps in information and ensure integrity of investigation.
  • Manage employee leave of absences, to include FMLA.  This includes leave documentation as well as Short and/or Long Term Disability.

What You Bring:

  • Previous Human Resources experience
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision required.
  • Ability to remain calm while working under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Ability to work within timeframe of standard policies and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive company and employee information.
  • Thorough knowledge of HR principles and federal/local regulations
  • Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point is essential
  • Exhibit extraordinary discretion, confidentiality, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with our team
