HUMAN RESOURCE GENERALIST: OnPoint is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Human Resource Generalist to join our team.  In this role, you will provide and/or assist in maintaining the general operations of the Human Resources department. This will include partnering with hiring managers in the talent acquisition process, including posting open positions, assisting in the development of interview scripts, screening, interviewing and hiring staff, conducting background checks and pre-employment testing and assisting with credentialing. You will also implement and coordinate the new employee orientation and onboarding process.


PAY RANGE/BENEFIT PACKAGE: 
Salary Range: starting at $52,561.60 up to $72,529.60 annually - placement above minimum salary is based on experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate’s degree with 5 years’ human resources or related experience OR equivalent verifiable work experience, education and training
  • Familiarity with privacy/confidentiality laws.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/co-occurring disorders/substance use disorders valued.  

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responds to staff inquiries related to Human Resources topics.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
    • Collaborates with departmental managers to develop interview scripts and understand skills and competencies required for openings.
    • Posts open positions to applicant tracking system.
    • Screens applications, schedules and participates in interviews, and sends applicable paperwork to new hires or applicants.
    • Conducts or acquires background checks and eligibility verifications on employees and consultants (e.g. driving, OIG, etc.).
  • Implements and coordinates the new employee orientation and onboarding process.
    • Ensures new hire process/checklist is followed: prompts hiring departments to complete necessary forms, initiates orientation, and collects required documentation from new hires.
  • Assists with FMLA, short-term & long-term disability and other leave processing, workers compensation, credentialing and required training scheduling and monitoring.
  • Assists with employee relations matters.
  • Processes personnel changes and maintains the agency’s personnel filing system.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EQUIPMENT/TECHNOLOGY KNOWLEDGE:
  • Basic iPhone Knowledge 
  • Microsoft Office and Payroll systems
  • Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Office equipment (fax machine, printer, copy machine, etc.)

POSITIONS TO BE FILLED: 
  • One full-time position (40 hours/week)
