Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated HR Generalist to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting our organization's human resources functions. The ideal candidate is a versatile professional with a solid understanding of various HR disciplines, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As an HR Generalist, you will contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, processes, and initiatives while ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.

Reports to: Director of HR

Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflicts, providing timely and effective resolutions. Foster a positive work environment by promoting open communication and addressing employee needs.

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Participate in the recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and assisting in the selection of candidates. Facilitate smooth onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring all necessary paperwork and orientations are completed.

  • Performance Management: Collaborate with HR Director and supervisors to develop and implement performance management strategies, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms. Provide guidance on addressing performance issues and implementing improvement plans.

  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate the delivery of relevant training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Assist in the creation of career development plans and succession planning initiatives with Director of HR.

  • Benefits and Compensation: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Assist Director of HR in conducting salary benchmarking and compensation analysis to ensure competitiveness within the market.

  • HR Policies and Compliance: Assist Director of HR in the development and communication of HR policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation.

  • Employee Engagement: Collaborate on initiatives to boost employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention. Organize events, surveys, and programs that foster a positive organizational culture.

  • HR Projects: Participate in various HR projects, such as process improvements, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and organizational restructuring efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 1+ years of experience in HR roles, with a strong foundation in employee relations, onboarding, benefits admin, and HR operations.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle confidential and sensitive matters discreetly.

  • Proficiency in PayChex and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP (SHRM Certified Professional) are advantageous but not required.

  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
