Description

Position Overview

Valiant Residential is seeking an HR Generalist who will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to the HR Team and entire organization of over 800 team members. This role involves working closely with all HR functions, including recruitment, new employee orientation, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, worker’s compensation, and HRIS (Paylocity). The HR Generalist serves as a point of contact for employees and management, fostering a positive and productive work environment.


This is an onsite role (75 and Walnut Hill area) and will provide the right candidate with an opportunity to gain experience in all facets of Human Resources.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Preparing new hires for new employee orientation
  • Conducting the new hire orientation as needed
  • Address employee concerns to foster a positive working environment.
  • Lead the annual Performance Appraisal process working with managers and leaders on enhancing the forms and process.
  • Play an integral part in the annual Open Enrollment process.
  • Assist in the development of performance improvement plans.
  • Assist Payroll Administrator in the education of benefits to new employees and follow up with enrollment timing and respond to questions.
  • Assist HR Manager in all aspects of employee relations, policy revisions, employee records maintenance, reporting, and worker’s compensation.
  • Assist HR Team and learn all aspects of leave of absence, FMLA, and other types of leave.
  • Other duties as assigned by HR Manager and HR Director.


Requirements
  • 3-5 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Paylocity experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once and prioritize when needed.
  • Great organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving along with confidentiality and poise is critical.
