POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Generalist will handle benefits administration, full-cycle recruiting, payroll, compliance, employee relations and training/development. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys performing HR duties directly and being an integral part of a growing remote team.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES, AND FUNCTIONS:
Recruiting & Onboarding
- Source, screen, and coordinate interviews for technical and non-technical roles.
- Post job openings, schedule interviews, and communicate with candidates.
- Conduct onboarding activities to ensure a positive new-hire experience.
Compliance & HR Operations
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations in the U.S. and in coordination with our global team.
- Maintain accurate HR records, policies, and procedures.
- Complete audits, reporting, and other compliance tasks as .
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Respond to employee questions and concerns.
- Address employee relations issues and provide guidance on HR policies.
- Participate in initiatives to enhance employee engagement, recognition, and retention.
Training & Employee Development
- Coordinate and deliver employee training programs and professional development activities.
- Track participation and gather feedback to improve learning initiatives.
- Provide resources and guidance to employees for skill-building and growth.
Payroll
- Process semi-monthly, multi-state payroll accurately and on time.
- Review payroll data for errors and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, in conjunction with payroll provider.
Benefits
- Administer employee benefit programs, answer employee questions, and coordinate open enrolment.
- Evaluate and recommend benefit plan enhancements that balance cost, compliance, and employee value.
ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance)
- Participate in the company's ESG team to support initiatives related to social responsibility, employee well-being, and sustainable business practices.
- Assist with data collection and reporting of ESG efforts
for surveys and questionnaires.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years+ HR Generalist or related HR experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll processing and compliance.
- Experience administering employee benefits and benefit planning.
- Experience recruiting for a variety of roles, including technical positions.
- Understanding of federal and multi-state employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Experiencing performing or delivering training and development activities.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in all HR tasks.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
PREFRERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience performing HR duties in a distributed or international workforce.
- Familiarity with HRIS and ATS systems.
