Human Resources Generalist
The Adrian Dominican Sisters are currently seeking a Full Time Human Resources Generalist who will be responsible for duties in the Office of Human Resources including benefit administration, leave of absence administration and employee relations.

Hours: 8am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday.
Pay: 60-$65k based on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitates an employer/co-worker relationship by being available to any staff member who requests a meeting to discuss employment related concerns.
- Serves as the point of contact for all Leave of Absence requests and maintains appropriate files for LOA's, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and proper communication with co-workers and department directors.
- Provides objectivity when a department director seeks advice as to the disciplining of a co-worker. Reviews all documentation in the discipline process of co-workers to ensure that the individual has been treated justly and determines if there are any potential legal implications.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for co-workers regarding all benefit issues.
- Responsible for coordination and communications of benefit plans to inform co-workers about changes in programs. Process enrollments and/or status changes with proper carrier. This includes medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, life insurance, short and long term disability, unemployment compensation, workers compensation, supplemental insurance programs, 403(b) programs.
- Works with Director to evaluate plans annually and discuss possible changes for open enrollment.
- Establishes and maintains the system of record keeping for co-workers and dependents as this relates to benefit programs in order to assure accurate eligibility and appropriate payments. Record keeping includes the tracking of cost for both employer and co-worker paid segments of the benefits.
- Works on special projects and co-worker-oriented activities that build connectedness. Such activities include organizing co-worker recognition weeks, creation of the campus newsletter, Campus Connections, Mission Sighting program, Annual Service Award Celebrations and other campus celebrations.
- Provides clerical support for the Director to facilitate the successful daily operations of the department.
Requirements:
Education: A four-year degree concentrating on Human Resource Management or related field. In the absence of a bachelor's degree, the minimal requirement would be an associate degree with additional experience in the field.
Experience: At least three to five years of service in the Human Resources field required. Experience in a healthcare related organization preferred. SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus. At least three to five years of experience utilizing the skills and abilities listed below.

Physical: Must be able to sit for long periods of time. At times it is necessary to move from location to location on campus. Being sighted and capable of hearing is necessary. Must be able to work at least 8 hours per day. Annual influenza vaccination is required for this position.
Working Conditions: Generally busy office area with times of numerous interruptions. Position requires individual to be flexible to change, working hours and various job responsibilities.
