Position Overview
The HR Generalist will proactively promote positive and supportive partnerships, delivering a high level of quality customer service; providing consultation, advice, guidance, policy and procedure interpretation to internal customers on employment, compensation, and all other HR programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, onboard, and support the full employment process for fabrication shop, field, professional, and corporate positions
- Provide and ensure efficient, day-to-day HR administration and operations with assigned departments and employee groups
- Serve as front-line resource for responding to and solving employee concerns and questions
- Partner with management and employees to maintain positive work relationships and morale, and foster engagement and retention
- Deliver training and consultation for leaders and employees, ensuring organizational development initiatives are achieved
- Manage disciplinary procedures consistent with progressive discipline system
- Thoroughly conduct investigations and recommend appropriate resolution
- Provide managers and supervisors with HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies
- Manage leave of absence process consistent with state/federal laws
- Manage HRIS and ATS platforms
- Assist and support with the rollout of company HR initiatives
- Coordinate and facilitate performance management processes, ensuring timely documentation and consistent feedback
- Assist with employee engagement activities and events to promote a positive work culture and strengthen team morale
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, HR Management, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR role with broad responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal laws
- Proficiency with HRIS and applicant tracking systems
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred
